Praia do Forte is a beach area located in the district of the same name, in the municipality of Mata de São João, in the state of Bahia, Brazil. It is about 80 kilometers from the state capital, Salvador. The area can be reached via Estrada do Coco, a well-maintained road from Salvador (near the International Airport) to the border with the state of Sergipe (in this stretch it is called Linha Verde).
